Magic Time

Magic, is it real or is it just an illusion?

I BELIEVE! There are some things that just can't be explained.

I should know, I was a magician's "assistant" once.

I giggle to myself and press fast forward No story here to tell. *Smiles devilishly*

I think you are either a believer or a nonbeliever. There cannot be happiness without a little tomfoolery, right! A laugh, a smile = wonder! The magic is right there, in that one blink or one breath and POOF it's over! You think you missed the magic! And suddenly, the nonbeliever is born! Nonbelievers become numb to the loss of joy when the magic changes or the brain cannot compute the reasons or whys. They become disillusioned.

But the magician! The magician sees the beauty in the trickery itself and learns how to master the magic! And if that magician stands strong in belief, the magic embraces them back. Magicians know the secrets they must protect to preserve this knowledge and will share in only the wonder that the magic sparks in others! Magicians have the power to return your belief in magic if you let them.

Close your mind and open your heart, do you see and feel it? It's right there. That's where the magic is found. Deep inside your heart. We all have the potential to be magical.

If I had a magic power, I would want to control time. If "I could control time," I mean - "If I Could Turn Back Time".... Ah, Cher. A Goddess indeed. However, as I was granted the power of words, I can only dream.

I mean, we believe in time. Time is a tricky thing, if you think about it. Time is just like magic. Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds. Here one minute and gone the next. A blink of the eye and you miss the secret in the trick. Magic and time, are they the same? Time is like the slip of a magician's hand.

I would want to stop the clock of time and let people feel the freedom of wonder. I would give them the beauty of magic.

I would slow down time, so that people could enjoy their loved ones longer and more authentically.

I would rewind time so that people could fix their mistakes.

I would never fast forward time though, I think that would need to be a boundary. There is reason we can't see or know the future. Not even our own. Maybe the magic is in the not knowing? The wonder is in what happens next, or the feeling you get deep inside when you become overwhelmed with joy, it's magical. Magic means anything is possible. You don't have to believe in it, but you have to admit it's fun.

Alas, the only time I can control is my own. So, I choose to make the most of every moment I'm given. I have spent my time creating magic with family, friends, and on my own.

I have spent my fair share of time in the shadows, but I still hope that I have time to see my dreams through. Time is precious and it is the one true thing that can't be owned by anyone but you. It is up to us to make the best of it.

If I took my last breath today, I would remind you to always embrace the magic you hold inside. Be skeptical if you will, but don't do it at the expense of someone else's wonder.

Be magic! The world has enough things to ruin the illusion.
