I and U

Journal entry 9/11/25 - inspired by a playlist of songs that describe the kind of love-pain only time and distance can explain whether miles apart or in the same bed.

"The kind of love-pain that hope and faith will never let burn out when it is brought to you by destiny. Like the Sun chasing the Moon, will we ever eclipse, or will it forever be just a wish in the wind?"

"It's almost time to bring this part of my story to an end and I wonder about you and me. I am running out of words to explain how we got caught up in the universe. I was in a random time, hiding in a dark place; I found you floating in space like a rocket-man fighting off the demons of the moon."

"Your pain called out to mine and I answered against the better judgement of my mind. Here we sit, stuck somewhere in time, waiting on life's divine clock to bridge the distance between us."

"We thought we were a perfect match, your fire to my flame; now the smoke has cleared, stuck here in the ash, wondering, who is this person I have fallen in love with?"

"Opposites attract but can they survive the challenges that it brings to light? We fall in love with traits that we come to hate when we learn how difficult we each can be. How can love feel so real with the pain we bring without meaning to by being so different."

"We make up stories about how we think a person should be, but we don't always see the truth on the other person's side because we are so busy defending our need to be right. Who we are on the inside may not always be what we give when we love someone, but when it is real, is this the way love is meant to work?"

'Today's question is, can our love survive the differences between you and me? Will time heal the wounds from the distance between me and you?"

"Sometimes, I wonder if I made it all up in my mind. How good we could be if not always lost in the space between day and night." For I walk in the sunlight, and you roam in the shadowed tides of the moon lit sky.

"I believe we are eternally bound together by the knotted strings of our hearts, a force strong enough to ensure we never part. Let our differences make us a force to be reckoned with and build us a solid foundation that will support us for the rest of our lives. Will you still love me too?"

"The lesson in I and U as I have come to see, is the signs were there since the beginning and so was love's apology and truth. It's the intention on the inside that counts. The outside is just noise trying to distract us from our destined path"
